Congratulations to all the swimmers who made it out extra early yesterday morning to our November FUN meet! We had a record turn out, running 8 heats per event. I wanted to take a moment to thank all our fantastic volunteers, who were a combination of swimmers, husbands, wives and children. It's great to see your entire families support your athletic endeavors. I've attached a summary document with each of your race times, please note to speed up the process yesterday we had only asked for first names and last name initials, I hope you can find your results easily. How to read/interpret your results: There were 2 timers per lane, if both timers were able to capture your time, you will see 2 columns filled out. You should look at both as there is some variation between them based on how quickly they each hit the stop watch when you touched the wall. In a few cases, a timer may have missed the start whistle and you will only see 1 record. That's ok, that's why we have 2 timers per lanes to ensure we always get the times in case of technical mishaps. If you find yourself a little stiff today, it's likely lactic acid built up from a hard swim yesterday. Make sure to do a light easy workout today to get it out of your system so you can make it to the pool on Monday night. Lastly, if you had a lot of FUN at the fun meet, I'd encourage you to sign up for the December 2nd meet here in Ottawa hosted by the TechnoSport swim club, details below. The deadline to register is this week, if you are interested please email Anne-Marie at orcas.meetcoordinator@gmail.com. TechnoSport Invitational Date: Sunday December 2, 2012 Location: Ottawa University Pool 6:00am Warm Up, 6:30am Start, 9:00am Finish Followed by a free buffet breakfast on campus. Events: 100 Free, 100 Back, 50 Fly, 100 Breast, 50 Back, 200 Choice, 50 Breast, 50 Free, 200 I.M. 200 Mixed Medley Relay. Entry fee is a $40 flat fee which allows each swimmer to register for up to 5 individual events and 1 relay. Entry deadline is November 22, 20212. To register, I will require your year of birth and your Masters Swimming Ontario (MSO) number. If you do not have an MSO number we'll work with Don our Head coach to get you register to compete.
